Network Layer

  • The Network Layer is the second layer in a blockchain. It is built on top of the Protocol Layer, which is the base of a blockchain. The Application Layer is the third layer, on top of the Network Layer.
  • The Network Layer has its focus on creating building blocks for the base blockchain.
  • Examples of Network Layers in the Ethereum ecosystem include: 0x, iExEc, Civic and MakerDAO
