Web3

Often used term for crypto projects. Web 1 was in the 90s where users would go to websites and consume. Web 2 came in the late 00s where users started to create and Web3 supposedly will be the stage where users own and control their content.

Often interchangeable with Blockchain, but got popular after both DeFi and GameFi got traction in 2021.
